I got a really supportive letter today from the Police’s victim support team. It’s kind of scary in as much as the crime of which we’ve been victims isn’t obviously life threatening, although either us or our beloved dogs could have been physically injured by the perpetrators. The main injury has been to our property and to my hours of effort, both of which have been destroyed.

What do we do? Get Mad – done that. Get even – not in the physically violent sense anyway. Turn the other cheek? Really? Be bullied and intimidated in our own home? No way. Not now, not ever.

Our main concern now is that we are convinced that we're nowhere near the bottom of the pit of the venom and we don't underestimate their deep need to cause us harm. We're battening down the hatches and hoping to weather it.
