One of my best treats since getting a job is being able to afford to buy a bunch of flowers every now and again. The rules are simple – grown in the UK and scented. Bish bosh bash, job done. The fact that they are also good to look at is a bonus. Weirdly though, I like the buds more than the fully opened blooms. It's because the unopened flowers are not fully coloured so you get this lovely creaminess at the base of the petals that disappears when they open fully.
I’ve got to dismantle the studio again tomorrow and it’s always a chore to set it back up again so here is the last studio shot I’m likely to produce for a few weeks.
