This is, among other things, a selfie. You have to look quite carefully though. One of the other that this image contains is the whiff of magic. It’s one of the sets from a photo shoot that involved making something happen that couldn’t possibly really happen – an owl delivering a baby. (Don’t ask.)

It was achieved with the aid of two dining chairs, a broom, some black cotton and a great deal of craziness. I’ve just shown DM the fruits of this shoot and he laughed like a drain. I think I’ve hit the spot so hopefully it’ll go down well in the right quarters tomorrow.

As for me – I’m proudly sporting my (ancient) Spurs shirt after a mighty away 3-1 victory over the Toons. (I didn’t see that coming!) Interestingly there is no selfie stick involved in this selfie, nor a coy look up at the camera. Nope - this selfie is more sophisticated and tells a story.
