Good: It was passably light all the way home from work tonight – even when we arrived hone it was just about light enough to see. Hurrah!

More good: We got home to find we’d had a visit from the house insulation fairy (see above). Our home is about to become a whole lot nicer to be inside because it’s about to get a lovely big cosy blanket wrapped around it to stop it from being so cold and so damp.

Even more good: JD and Lola love their new friend who comes to see them every day and she is able to stop JD from getting too stressed at the intrusion of the builders.

Bad: We’re being bullied and intimidated in our own home (again) and so we’ve taken a pledge to be French Men about it…for DM, who’s so laid back he’s almost horizontal, that’s going to be a lot easier than for me. I just want to poke people in the eyes with sharp sticks. Clearly as a civilised human being that’s not advisable and I do see the value of being seen to rise above the bear baiting so that’s what I intend to do.
