10th January 2014 - result

Technically it’s not the best ever shot and certainly not worthy of the expensive kit it was shot on! Mind you, when you see something so unexpected and so charming out of your bedroom window before you have even been downstairs in the morning, it’s too good an opportunity to miss.

I’m pretty sure these coos didn’t all decide spontaneously to make a procession along the old railway line past the mine building. In all probability they were herded onto this part of the moor for some reason. There might have been as many as a hundred all walking in line along the railway track so I grabbed my camera, the longest lens I own and charged out of the front door onto our lawn to get this shot. I’m just relieved I was dressed and hence able to do so because it has sure taken the pressure off the day. Result!
