On a photographic level this photo is cack beyond redemption but on the basis that it’s brimming with wonderful, crazy and exotic life, not to mention immensely colourful it makes the cut for today! (Anyway, c’mon, it’s the office bash – it’s supposed to be a blur isn’t it?)

We’ve been out on our office party tonight and it’s been the best fun I’ve had in ages. We went to a local golf club with a themed Christmas party, bought by the table. As we work for a small company, our party of 21 people accounted for two of about twenty tables. There was a sit down meal, followed by an 80s themed disco.

Our bit of the proceedings was funded by our bosses, whose generosity was superb – not only did they pay for the food and drink, but they transported us home too by paying for taxis. We were all encouraged beforehand to dress up in 80s fancy dress with the prospect of a prize for the best dressed – who got £100, also paid for by the boss!

We monopolised the dance floor and so this shot of a group of our colleagues dressed up as “Hi-de-hi”, full of gusto and jollity, encapsulates the spirit of this gorgeous company really well. It was so infectious that even DM got on the dance floor shortly after this shot was taken, dressed as Crockett from Miami Vice. Me? Girl George and I was first onto the floor with the lovely James and hardly left it again all evening. It was a total hoot.
