What is out of view in this shot is Lola curled up on the other side of DM. She’s fast asleep and dreaming of things that we can’t even begin to imagine. JD has taken umbrage at the fact that she’s in what he considers to be his space on the sofa next to David.

His love for David knows no bounds and so, when he is faced with a choice of not sitting by his Dad or squeezing into a tiny space on the other side of him, there is no choice as far as he’s concerned. He will squash into the tiniest spot as long as he can be beside the person he loves more than anything else in the world. Not only that but he leans into him and glares at me defiantly as if daring me to oust him. I wouldn’t dream of it!
