26th August 2014 - there are never enough...

...…photos of your beloved dogs when you come to the point where you can’t take any more.

Take it from one who knows. DM and I both shot hundreds of photos of Rosie and Archie throughout their lives yet when they both died, I struggled to find photos of them that I liked. Endless searching of images found them all wanting in one way or another.

Lola and JD don’t get the camera pointed at them anything like often enough. Photos of them tend to happen because one or other of us hasn’t yet shot a photo for our PADs and it’s 10pm and we’re desperate. In all likelihood, this is not going to produce photographic excellence.

So, I resolve to try to get a really nice shot of each dog at least once a month. I know you see. I know that one day they are gone and you can’t get them back. Their faces that you cherish and adore fade from your memory and all you want is one last glimpse. I’m determined that my thirst for glimpses of these two shall be sated when I can’t gorge on the feast of seeing the living, breathing beautiful critters that I love to share my life with. I can’t turn back the clock and get Toby, Archie or Rosie back but I can ensure that JD and Lola’s images can live on.

That's a great idea Linda, I found myself thinking the same about our pack the other day. Too many snaps and not enough proper photos...
