Picture the scene. DM had just cleared away the plates after the yummy Thai green curry he’d made me for my birthday then we’d settled down to watch Indiana Jones last night. The doorbell rang at gone 9pm which was odd. DM answered it to find our friend on the doorstep with these gorgeous bright roses and a card for my birthday. I can’t imagine anything nicer.
