It’s technically not the best shot ever but it does convey the right atmosphere…
Linda, fresh from finding out she’d secured gainful employment, at least for a few weeks, walks into the kitchen to see this little chap floating on top of the water in the dogs’ water bowl. She picks up the bowl and realises the poor critter is alive but struggling. She pokes her finger into the water and the tired and probably frightened minibeast grabs on like a limpet.
The trouble is that then she can’t get the little blighter off. Gently, gently, she encourages the tiny moth to let go and pops it onto the worktop in the sunshine to dry out then dashes off to find a camera and shoot this photo. Some time later, the moth had gone but closer inspection revealed that he’d launched himself and landed on the floor. More time later still, he’d gone from the floor of his own accord.
That’s me that is. Now I have a job I can save the world…oh, OK, I can save a moth from drowning – isn’t that enough? Now pass me my lycra overpants!
