I’m not at all ashamed of posting another highly inferior photo because this is about my world and not photographic perfection (even though an occasional bit of photographic excellence is nice sometimes). The crop is as it is because there are children’s full names visible if I take it out any further.
Anyway – I taught all of these good things and they now know things they didn’t know before I started. Me. I did it. I am now a qualified teacher and even in the absence of a job as such, I’m still incredibly proud of the achievement. Let’s face it, no person would put themselves through the workload, the humiliation, the constant feeling given out from the system that you are lower in the food chain than pond sludge unless the prize at the end is worth it. Being a teacher will be worth it.
Tomorrow I can begin to rebuild my home life that has suffered hideously during the last ten months and hopefully there will be an occasional smile on my face, and indeed DMs face, from here on in. I might even get the chance to enjoy something.
I’m equally proud of my children’s lovely writing on my card – they’ve done super work, not least the larger hand writing on this – the smaller text is from a nine-year-old and the larger text from an eight-year-old. Both have written in good English, properly spelled except for one slip. My eight-year old has also done it all in lovely joined up loopy writing. They’re the tops.
