After my Mission:Impossible was completed yesterday, today has been equally fraught. I was up at 5am because I needed to retype a file I thought I’d lost but when I went to save a new version of it I could see the old one – it was just in a strange place, unacknowledged by Word as a file. If only I’d seen it last night after an hour and a half of hand-wringing and misery when I realised I’d “lost” it. Luckily finding it meant I could concentrate on something else.

On the balance scales of life, it tipped slightly in my favour because it got me ahead for today but it has meant that the day of my last observation as a trainee teacher I’d only had about four hours sleep and I decidedly didn’t feel at my best. Weirdly my tutor spent half of our meeting apologising to me for her (in her mind) shortcomings and she barely seemed to notice mine. I feel blessed to have had such an amazing mentor during this placement. I honestly could not have asked for better. The last hurdle to being a teacher was jumped successfully today!

Despite this being a poor follow-up to last night’s super-dooper shot (especially in the light of it being shot at gone 10pm), once I loaded it onto my PC and did a bit of basic lightroom work it has turned out much nicer than I thought it would! My bears' breeches are looking good.
