This little fella had just been bowled over by a pair of dogs when DM spotted him bimbling about on our path. Being an enormous softie (DM, that is, not the frog, who is, I’m sure, utterly terrified at being swept up by a monster), he decided that he should move him to a part of the garden where conditions were more frog-friendly and less hostile to amphibians. The gravel path, even without the dogs careering around, is not a particularly fantastic spot for a frog so he was relocated to the secret garden, which is cool, damp and has a pond. On the way between the two locations, he was brought in to see me and I took the opportunity for a quick snap.
I’ve spent the day wrestling with lesson plans amidst screaming tiredness and general gloom so this little photo was a bright patch in an otherwise depressing and frustrating day. I’ve lacked my usual ability to focus and get on with it and keep being distracted by things. It’s not like me at all and as it’s now 5.30pm and I still have most of next week’s lessons to plan, I’m more than a little panicked.
