…and I’m lilywhite and blue…

I must say that I am depressed today. My beloved Spurs are in turmoil again. The rumour mill is in frenzy. I’m sad at that. I absolutely love my club and it seems unlike many of my fellow fans I love Tim Sherwood. I don’t give the slightest flying f*ck that he once supported the Arse as a boy – I would have called myself when I was eight a Moan U fan, because my Daddy was. That doesn’t mean that now I wouldn’t die for Spurs and I suspect the same is true for him.

Look at it this way – many, many Liverpool fans didn’t like Brendan Rodgers last season but they’re eating their words now. The key point is this, you can’t show the world your best in a handful of games and the same is true that he’s playing a team that isn’t “his” team.

I put my cards on the proverbial table and say to Daniel Levy that Tim is a Spurs man through and through. He’s not yet been given a chance. All I’m saying is let his contract play out. Give him some moral support in the summer and see him fly. Honestly, whatever anyone else says, his body language and his demeanour is that he loves our club with all of his heart and surely that’s more than we’ve had from any manager since Glenn Hoddle? (Even if he was a sandwich short of a picnic.)
