OK this isn’t my work other than laying out the posters on the display but it’s work that was orchestrated by me and my colleague. Us two rookies planned and executed the lesson that resulted in these lovely colourful, 3-d, interactive posters. The lesson objective was for the children to create…guess what…colourful, 3-d, interactive posters. I’d say that it was met, wouldn’t you?
I am so thrilled and delighted at this, especially because the creative process was chaotic, noisy and messy BUT it was also buzzing with excitement and fun.
This was my first whole class lesson. Hopefully the first of many. I know there are another couple in the offing because tomorrow I teach maths to my lovely year sixes and phonics to a group of four year olds. Woo hoo.
Earlier today, a boy asked me who was going to be teaching this afternoon. I replied that I would be teaching them and a big cheer went up. He said that he was really pleased because when I teach them, they always learn exciting stuff. I know my bubble will get burst soon but for now I revel in the thrill of feeling needed.
