I think there must have been some raised eyebrows among my (cyber) friends today. I have FINALLY (after years and years of resisting) got a Facebook account…I’ve even managed to get a few Facebook friends. Both of these things baffle me but in my new “career” there is a really weird thing about contacting people using Facebook. This strikes me as odd for a number of reasons. Firstly, there is a clue in the website description (SOCIAL networking), leading to my second point, a SOCIAL network site is surely not a suitable forum for “business” messages, nor indeed for any non-SOCIAL networking.

Anyway, after discovering I’d been missing out on important messages I joined up, so here I am. Today we were set the task of making a video on a subject chosen by us and posting it on youtube. So, I have gone from being a complete luddite and not even having accounts on any of these places to having accounts and even posting a video on youtube, on which I can clearly be heard caterwauling my way through that classic ditty “happy birthday to you”.

My shame and humiliation knows no bounds so I may as well add a further level to the complete trouncing of my reputation by giving you all a link to said video. Make of it what you will.
