Fold up this bit of paper into 48 equally sized squared, take a 3b pencil and see how many squares you can fill with drawings made of dots, lines and smudges of varying intensities. It took me an hour to fill 30 of the 48 boxes. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience even though I am, as can clearly be seen from this, no artist.
DM says this is foundation level stuff. I don’t know about that.
I’m handy. That’s what I am. Through being handy I can force out a few “arty” bits and bobs but really it’s the process of making stuff that floats my boat. It’s the mosaics, the concreting, the woodworking and the baking. I have ambitions to make paper, REALLY get to grips with stained glass (after a brief dalliance with it about fifteen years ago) and increase my woodworking skills. I want to make green wood furniture. I want to build a stone lawnmower shed…lines on a bit of paper are just that, lines on a bit of paper.
