I came home from my important day in a state of flux and needed to blow away some cobwebs away so we went out onto the moor for a big walk and as we are supposedly in summer, I have been looking for the little blighter that made last summer such a mission for me – Euphrasia vigursii. Not only were there no E. vigursii but there were no Euphrasia of any description. That’s not going to please someone I don’t know! It’s probably the cold weather holding everything back. Last summer, this site was awash with Euphrasia, although I didn’t see any of the rare one here.
It’s rare for this face of this mine building to be in such bright sunshine so it struck me it’d be a good idea to photograph it for posterity.
