Last exam today – no more seaweed (hopefully forever).
Celebrations in the gusher over the road from the examination hall. From the left: Jon – simply one of the nicest men you’ll ever meet; Sandi – a bloody miracle woman – she’s given up her job and, with five kids to look after, has come through four years of studying. She’s looking skywards for inspiration, I reckon. We all know she's a star though. Mark – he’s had a tough week, when I saw him last, he was white and shaking after finishing an exam that didn’t go to plan and Charlie – a lovely lady if ever I met one. The interloper stage right is also a student colleague, Swiss, who also finished his finals today.
It was beautiful sunshine all afternoon and later we were joined by other friends who’d already finished their exams. Relief all round from the end of the process. We now only have one other hurdle to jump over – that’s next week. Then I get to be called a scientist and no-one can stop me! I’ll be BSc Hons very soon.
I can’t tell you how I feel – tearful, relieved, and basically just pleased to have made it out the other side. Most of all, I feel tired. I could sleep for a week.
Oh and yes - that's my nearly empty pint of Doom Bar in front of the empty seat! Not telling how many more I had!
