My good buddy Janet brought me this flower, along with many others, in an arrangement that she’d “recycled”. She runs a small floristry business and when she replaces the displays at the premises of her clients, most of the “spent” blooms end up in the bin. So, this display has come from an office, hotel or shop somewhere and would have gone in the bin a week ago had she not brought it down for me. It’s still going strong and cheering me up.
Her gifts to us were really appreciated – in fact we’ve been drinking her coffee this afternoon!
I am exhausted but feel as though I’ve done better today than last week. I said what I meant to say, I know it’s factually right, I wrote solidly for three hours and spent equal amounts of time on all three questions and all I am cross with myself about is forgetting the name of the scientist who did a comparison between enriched forest and naturally regenerated rainforest and discovered the naturally regenerated was best. Oh and I forgot the fourth group of the secondary metabolites that are responsible for perfumes –terpenes, alkaloids, shikimic acid derivatives and ??? – one other that I forgot. Let’s hope that’s good enough. Only seaweed to go and that’s it – done!
