In a weird bout of non-religious religiousness I have made a batch of non-crossed hot cross buns tonight so that we can have them for breakfast tomorrow. I rarely make completely hands on bread these days – mostly, at least the mixing, is done in the bread machine. This, however, was done completely by hand although I did compromise on the yeast which is easy action because the fresh yeast in the back of the fridge had grown an additional layer of penicillin! Somehow the very action of kneading with your own hands is amazingly therapeutic. But then, I am a girl who loves to be caked in mud or concrete so to be caked in dough is also pretty good.

We are celebrating me being “hot property” because I found out that my interview had been (conditionally) successful so now all I have to do is get a 2:1 and I’ve got my next step in place. Yeeeeeehaaaaaaaa!

I might, just might, redeem myself for my corporate whore past by doing something good for others and in turn good for my own soul. I feel almost like a porn star turned nun…(not really but you know what I mean). There is still a long way to go – another year of student-dom and of course that means another year of being very poor but I have a feeling I will thrive.

Am I hot? Well if you think being hot is being “hot property” then maybe yes. Am I cross? No, definitely not!
