We’ve been down the gusher for our tea. Double egg and chips twice please, one with beans and two pints of Spingo. That’s it. it's the cheapest food on the menu. That’s our order…every time (well, the 2xDEC1B that is, we don’t always have Spingo because they don’t always have Spingo available, it’s a “guest beer”. What we try to do is always have a LOCAL beer, for LOCAL people…those interloper multi-national beers are not welcome in our world. Anyway, that’s going to be the last time we do that for the foreseeable future as our already precarious financial position has just got a lot worse.

Why go get squiffy? Well, if you can imagine getting knocked over once, then just as you’re getting up off the floor and brushing yourself down you get knocked over again and then when you stagger back onto your feet for a second time, you get knocked down for a third time. That’s been how our day has gone today. Shit piled on shit piled on more shit. The gusher provided a bit of short-term relief from worrying, although it just postponed the worrying for a few hours really.

Anyway, we’ve arrived home squiffy, me especially, and DM shoved the G7 in my hand, said “point that at the red tag” and click. Here it is. My husband’s bottom clad in Levi’s for the first time in a very long time as we can no longer afford to buy them so he’s been wearing cheapo alternatives. These ones were as cheap as chips because they came from ebay and had already been on someone else’s bottom…though obviously they had been washed in-between-times.
