Exzim asked for a wide angle shot of progress the other day and with limited mobility and limited ideas – getting knocked down has somehow turned me into a narcoleptic (not really but it feels a bit like it), I decided “why not”.
So, here’s where we are…..
All of the cabinets are in and fixed, though a few are still not useable, partly because of being tool stores and partly because of needing shelves cutting because of internal pipe work and other stuff.
The work surfaces are in but not yet fixed. Most of the decorating is done, except for touching up where I’ve damaged bits by wielding other things round in my clumsy fashion.
Jobs still needing to be done – wall tiled splash-backs, trims on cupboards, lighting under wall cupboards, new flooring….oh and the chaos behind the camera. Perhaps I’ll show you that tomorrow.
You’ll see signs of busyness – the bread machine is on (honey and seed bread), the pressure cooker is on (black beans) and there is a pan of chicken porridge on the stove-top too. The plates are waiting to be filled with dauphinoise potatoes and peppers stuffed with beans and Cornish Blue cheese.
My crutches are propped up against the dishwasher, which is not yet in its final position because it still needs an end-piece next to it.
While I was fiddling around in the kitchen today, I think I’ve solved the last water leak – will let you know if I have done tomorrow.
