5th March 2009 - no snow here

When we got up we had a smattering of snow – see above. It was expected. The smattering that is. I took this photo to show the snow’s not quite over.

Later, I answered the phone to speak to DMs Mum who was convinced we’d been snowed in. “No, I said, the reports are completely exaggerated!”.

Later again, I was watching the local news on the goggle box and I saw scenes of chaos – roads closed, snow ploughs, schools shut, people stranded……blimey, I thought, that must have been in Scotland. Then I realised that it was the LOCAL news, not the national news.

Blimey again. The scenes of chaos had been filmed about 20 miles from here. Well, well, well…. It just goes to show that we don’t always get the worst of the South West’s weather. I apologise unreservedly to my area for always claiming the worst of it and here I am being proven well and truly wrong. I'm a little liar.

Still, my leeks look nice don’t they….ho hum??!!

BTW - sorry for anyone following this that my postings have been erratic (yes, erratic, NOT erotic) - I have been working my little socks off and now have several jobs!

You made no promises, so don't apologize. Glad to hear you're busy.
