Belfry in Kortrijk with sun directly behind it. Photo taken exactly at 18:00 PM, so sun was still relatively high. It looks like sunset only because of very fast shutter speed.
Technical details:
Camera was in "P" mode with -1 EV exposure compesation (not enough). I had to apply even more exposure compesation and increase saturation while processing raw file. Raw conversion settings were:
Temperature: 4700K
Tint: +7
Exposure: -2.35
Shadows: 21
Brightness: 95
Contrast: +84
Saturation: +65
Sharpness: 25

The BELFRY is the only remaining part of the medieval Cloth-Halls. The statue of Mercurius, god of trade, was placed on top of the building during the 18th century. "Manten" and "Kalle" , two folklore figures of Kortrijk, strike the hour on the clock of the Belfry. At the backside of the Belfry, a war memorial has been erected.
