It does not bother him at all. There is such an openess on his face! The bare feet in this not so friendly street are showing the reality of life there.

No need to be sorry, Ai Li. You can tell from his expression that there is no embarassment on his part so you should not be embarassed either. This is simply the way he lives. And he obviously is more than happy to greet you, and us, with a smile. A wonderfully honest, open, street portrait.
