Love the story this shot tells. And love the contrast between her peacefully expression and the buzzing city in the background. Roberto

An exquisite moment caught perfectly. As said, the rush of the city, the old person. Wonderful.

This lady will never be ravaged by a modern city --- she looks old and fragile but inside, her nerves remain cold as steel.

I love the story this photo tells. Well-seen and taken!

I agree with Craig. Wonderful contrasting images of city life and the pace of an older person.

She seems like an old soul who hasnt accepted modern city life. Nice framing to tell the story

Unusual expression on her face? I love the solitute with the rushing of the city scape. Vote

What a great shot. Her (I'm assuming) slow pace contrasted with the buzzing city in the background.

Another story telling image, Ai Li. The woman seems to block out everything, and focuses instead on what is in her purse. The rush of traffic (beautifully expressed by the blurred taxi roaring past her) and the writing on the metal box, go unnoticed. She faces us, eyes closed, and hand probing deep into her bag. Is it there? And if so what is it? As others have said, she appears quite vulnerable and perhaps lost.

Kal is right... an angel in the city: she makes me think to the Wim Wender's film "Der Himmel über Berlin". She is certainly listening to the deep voices of the town.

I like the implied speed - or lack of - here. She looks to be walking in pain, slowly, while the taxi seems to fly. As if the city crazyness was too much for her. Very well seen & composed, excellent timing!

Oh I love the mixture of her umbrella, bag and her shirt!!! She`s deep in her thoughts - perhaps she`s really meditating on the sound of the city? Excellent street shot and composition Ai Li!

There's somthething solemn about her face, as if she is meditating on the sound of the city....K
