A study of Fall colors in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness

We could not believe our luck once we arrived at Larch Lake basin, as fall was in full tilt. The neon bright golds of the larch, cast against mountaintops dusted in fresh snow reflecting off the turqouise blue waters was truly a sight to behold. I might travel here another 1000 times, and never happen upon a moment when all the colors and lighting fell into perfect place...
