Humphreys Basin

Granite parkways, colored by minerals, split by dikes and peppered with intrusions; inset with crystalline lakes. Horizon jagged with stone towers, buttresses, aretes and walls; lightly limned on northern couloirs with neve.

Friend coyote, mountain grouse, marmot and colorful trout were there to be seen and appreciated.
Pure sierra mountain light alternating with dark, forbidding thunderheads and each night ever-growing moonlight.
Sounds of rockfall, crack'ling lightning and coyote yipping.
