Bird with Attitude - Dunnock (Prunella modularis) juvenile

Doonbeg, Co. Clare

The dunnock is a small, shy brown bird and is a frequent visitor to many Irish gardens.
It is often referred to by its old name of hedge sparrow.
However, the dunnock isn't related to the sparrows at all.
Dunnocks are found all over Ireland and are resident all year round.
