In the geographical centre of Lanzarote, at an important crossroads from where any part of the island can be reached, there stands one of the works of César Manrique that most symbolic references: the architectonic collection of the Museum-House and Monument to Fertility (Casa-Museo del Campesino y Monumento a la Fecundidad).
Standing alone on the horizon, the monumental sculpture named "Fecundidad" ("Fertility"), is dedicated to the Lanzarote farmers.
Inside the sculpture a number of objects and tools related to the island's culture and agriculture can be seen.
The sculpture is made mostly from recycled water containers.
