Lycabettus Hill is 278 meters high and is located in the centre of Athens City.
It is thought that in antiquity the temple of Akraios Zeus was located here.
It is suggested that Lycabettus Hill was also once the refuge of wolves.
This is possibly the origin of its name, which means "the hill that is walked by wolves".
