Mrs Kamla Waghmare welcomed me to stay with her at the Girls Hostel during my second week in India. Just after arriving they all together started to make curtains for the windows and door of my room.
Because not all parents can pay (enough)to have their children a year in hostel, Mrs Waghmare set up a little business in rabbits. Shalu and Nitin live with their son in the room next to me. They are cleaning out the garden, a hard work and for sure when it is about 40°C...

Living with little Rose Mary, a 2 year old girl, was such a way to make these amazing portraits of her... Watching her climb the bed and start to read the newspaper realy was the max... Looking at this series you can see what potention Indian women have. For me this series symbolise women's capacibility, their strenght, their potention, their joy, their hope...

Kamla's church-women group invited me at their meeting on June 21, it was a very nice experience. Shalu gave me a view on how poor people cook for their family. Every morning, noon and evening she sat on the ground cooking for her little family. Behind Kamla's house there was a big playground. Many times I saw these young women soccer players excercise, they looked so fantastic.
An hour before I left the Social & Environment Society "Green Life" did a tree plantation. This was an extra reason that Kamla asked Shalu and Nitin to clean the ground around the hostel, so the trees could be planned and the children later can sit in the shadow of the trees. And just before we hit the road to the airport (to go to Bangalore) my new friends and family in Nagpur gave me these wonderful and so good smelling beautiful flowers. Just before leaving to the gate, I gave these flowers at Kamla, by this way I could stay a little bit more with them. And I will have them in my heart forever !
