This postmill with closed base was first mentioned in 1635. In 1830 the mill burnt down and was replaced in the same year. In 1915 in World war 1 this windmill was destroyed because it could serve as an observation post. After the war the mill was build up again using parts of 2 other windmills. In 1976 the mill was destroyed again by a storm. After years of becoming a ruin, they planned to move it to another village, but in the end it did'nt go through so that in 1998 a few people started a new plan to restore the mill. In 2010 the mill was restored and ready to work again. So you see, never give up! After more then 40 years in ruins, this mill is up to date again.
