RT Hawk with Blue-Green Eyes - digiscoped

Western NY

I observed this beautiful hawk with blue green eyes through my small spotting scope. I held my LX1 up to the eyepiece to record the hawk. Is this eye color unusual? I've only noticed brown eyes on Red Tail Hawks.

Eyes are yellow in young birds, and turn orange with age. The eyes may look greener because they have less orange in them than the yellow by the bill and feet.

looks like the spotting scope worked pretty well. Pretty good considering.
