Sometime around '75 they tried having rock bands play there. My friends were playing, and I got to run the light show, including the house lights. The controls were all on a large wall, it looked like something out of a Frankenstein movie. Big dimmer controls for the chandeleer , wall lites, even the lobby lites were dimming up and down. There was an electrician there, but he just let me go nuts !!
When weekend football was on my brothers, sisters and cousins all got money to "go to the show" with instructions to STAY there until football was over...Those were the days, for 25cents you could. We would watch the same movie over and over..Starting on the lower level and ending in the balcony..Those were the days..After several hours we all drugged through the snow towards home..No cell to call for a ride, no pass for the Bus, just two feet to walk a couple miles home, where there was always something hot on the stove...Brenda Fire Flateau P.S. "..don't walk in front of the T.V..." was our hello from Dad, sure miss it...
