I grew up in NT and worked as an apprentice at Melody Fair in 1957. Watching "Carrousel" tonight on TCM reminded me of being Gordon MacRae's valet during his run in " Oklahoma". Had the opportunity to meet many star performers over two summers, while getting valuable experience about theatre. Mr. Fisher was a wonderful employer.

I worked at Melody Fair from 1988 to 1995 as the VIP hostess under the VIP tent. Also bartended when needed. I loved it, best job I ever had. Those were definetely the best years of my life. Remember washing off all the white plastic chairs and tables for the guests before every show. Just real sad to see the shape it is in today. Still live in Wurlitzer Park and walk through there often.
