1/2/04 - Update - This bird appeared to have an injured wing, although it was able to fly.
A raptor rehabber was contacted and if the bird is still in the same area, they will try to capture it and help it out. They said if the wing was broken it would not have been able to fly, but may have a shoulder injury. Leslie
Hi - I also posted these pictures on another forum and mentioned that the bird seemed to be holding his wing funny. He was able to fly, but I've been told by a former rehabber that they can still fly w/ a wing injury. In fact, I have an injured house finch w/ me currently and have left a message today for a rehabber in the area, but have not gotten a call back, probably because it's the 1st. I will try to get this person again and make them aware of the falcon.
