We had 17 couple out. Gene, Lil, Lee, Mary, and Heather were staff. There were seven in the field led by Werner. We were out 3 1/2 hours, and covered 9.38 miles. Max speed 14.2 mph. 4.2 mph average. The hounds found a fox almost immediately in a small densly wooded area called Merryweather woods. They circled within these woods for quite a while while we listened to the music of the hounds speaking. Later in the day they found either a fox or foxes in Orthwein woods but lost the scent when the quarry ran through a soy bean field.
