It was a beautiful day. Unseasonably warm. It was 45 degrees when we started out and rose up to 52 degrees. Winds were calm but from the west.

We started out heading west along the road through the woods. We worked our way through the woods and then worked our way East and then drew west on the creek along Welch road. Hounds spoke a few times in the creek but seemed to lose their scent. Gene Deutsch viewed the hunted coyote near Welch’s corner so we worked our way over there. Hounds soon hit the fresh line and off we went. We did a loop in Tim Brown’s field and then hounds headed north. The whips had to stop them as they were crossing Welch road as they were headed out of the territory. Horses and hounds were hot and tired by this time so Eleanor gathered them up and headed for the trailer.
