It was a brisk, sunny 38 degrees when we started. We worked through the old Cross Country course and then headed east working the woods along the Macoupin river. Gene was in the bottoms and viewed a coyote crossing the open field. Soon the hounds picked up the line and we headed east almost to the bridge before they lost the scent in the river. We then headed up through the junk yard and worked through the fingers starting from the south. When we got nearly to the end they got on another coyote that ran west toward the Macoupin River. It was accounted for in the river.
