It was a cool in the morning but warmed up nicely. Eleanor was still recovering from her fall so picked a safe mount in Cricket. It was 50 deg. F when we started. The wind was from the North at about 5 mph. It warmed up to about 60 degrees by the time we finished. Barometric pressure was rising.

From the parking area we headed east then North. Eleanor then headed up into some thick woods and told me to follow on the east side. We followed on the east and Tess followed on the west. Soon we heard the hounds speaking and went on a great run. No one viewed but it must have been a fox as it ran us in a large circle. Hounds sounded great. They lost the scent and we continued hunting west. We made a big loop up by the road to nowhere and Tim Browns but it was blank. So then we decided to start working our way in. We got to the pipeline and hounds started speaking again. They took us on a run almost back to where we had the run earlier. We checked for a moment and Margaret realized her horse had lost a shoe so she headed in. Hounds started speaking again and we were running along the ridge while Jill was running on the edge of the field to our right. Suddenly Camo tripped and fell and Jill went head first into the freshly plowed ground. Eleanor went to Jill and Camo got up and continued after the hounds. I went after Camo and Sue Marshall hopped off and handed her horse to Tess. Tess ponied Stretch in to go get a car. By the time I came back by with Camo, Jill was sitting up and Sue was talking to her. So good to have a doctor in the field. Before I got back to the trailers, Sue’s horse had broken loose. I came back, handed Camo to Margaret and then went back out to look for Stretch. Eleanor went back out as did Gigi and Annie. Eleanor thankfully thought to call the kennel phone and there as a message there that Stretch had been seen at a neighbor’s house so Eleanor went to fetch him and pony him back. They took Jill on the hospital and fortunately nothing was broken.
