GPS shut off so I don’t have a good track. Distance was 10.45 miles. We started at 9AM and didn’t get back to the trailers until almost 1PM.

Lunch/Brunch – Provided by Gene. Sandwiches and chips

It was a nice day. Winds were from the West at 6-9 mph. Temperature ranged from 50 to 72 deg. F. Barometric pressure was falling. It was a little misty in the morning.

We started from the utility building and headed west. We drew the tall along the north side of the lake and then continued west. Things were pretty blank with just a little speaking occasionally. Elaine and Ellen decided to head in as Ellen’s horse was without shoes and was getting sore footed. That left just Sarah and I in the field.

We continued North between lakes 19 and 20 and went through a field that needed some serious brush hogging. The weeds and thorn bushes were really bad. Just then the hounds started speaking. Sarah and Eleanor took off and since my horse was green and the terrain difficult, I stayed trotting. They took off and headed toward the East. I made it across the field and found Lee and stayed with her. The hounds made a large circle anyway and ended up behind and North of the archery range. For a while Tess was the only one that could hear them as she was at the entrance to the archery range and they were behind there. Then we could hear them speaking but couldn’t get to them as the trail back there was muddy with hidden ditches and uncertain footing.

Eleanor reappeared and started blowing her horn to gather them. They had had quite a long run although they’d basically done a large circle around Lee and myself.

Sarah had gone for the trailer because we were a long way from the parking area. She showed up shortly to pick up Eleanor and the hounds leaving us a long hack back to the trailers.
