It was a beautiful morning. The fall colors were at their peak. The conditions couldn’t hardly have been worse for scenting. It was dry, hotter than seasonal and winds were from the south. Barometric pressure was falling. The temperature when we started was 64 degrees and it was 74 degrees by the time we finished. Coats were waived.

We parked at the lake 33 parking lot and headed south and east from there. We went along the road and Eleanor worked the woods and scrub to the North of us. We saw a lot of deer come out but the hounds were being steady. We then worked south for a while and then headed along the dam of lake six. Shortly after this the hounds started speaking and we had a short run of about 10 minutes. Jill and Lee both viewed coyotes. Jill saw two.

After this run we gathered hounds and worked our way back to the trailers. It was quite a long hack. We had lunch and headed on our way.
