It was a beautiful day but a little dry and windy. We met at the maintenance shed and then drove over to lake 33 to unload. The temperature started at 48 degrees and increased to 61 degrees. Barometric pressure was falling and it was sunny. The ground was dry. Winds were light from the South.

We started out heading east. We stayed on the roads while Eleanor drew along the fields. The hounds were working hard but there wasn’t much to be found. With the dry warm air and constant breeze the scenting conditions were very poor. Eleanor decided that we weren't going to find anything and the hounds were getting frustated so we should just call it a day.

Gene lead us on a trail ride the long way back to the trailers which was quite enjoyable because the weather was perfect.

Gene brought sandwiches and other goodies for a quick tailgate brunch before I had to take the horse home and run in to work.
