It was a beautiful day. We parked at the clubhouse. The temperature started at 48 degrees and increased to 57 degrees. (Felt warmer than that) Barometric pressure was steady and it was sunny. The ground was dry. Winds were light from the West.

The three fields were full of people. I think there were over 60 people in total. The Three Creek Bassets also came out for the blessing.

We started the morning with a tasty warm stirrup cup. The Deacon then blessed the hounds and we moved off.

We started up Southeasterly from the clubhouse, crossed the creek and headed west along the base of the bluffs. We made a large circle clockwise around behind the clubhouse and around to the road to nowhere. The hounds spoke a few times and there were deer to be seen in abundance. Still it was very dry and the hounds quickly lost.

We heard that the Bassets had three good runs.

After hunting there was a lovely pot luck brunch organized by Marilyn Carney. Long time members Marvin and Marge Harwood were honored. It was a lovely time with great food.
