14 ½ couple of hounds. I didn’t get a list of who was out.

GPS readings 11.05 miles 1 hrs 53 minutes moving 1 hr 21 minutes stopped. Max speed 28.9 mph
Moving average 5.1 mph

It was a beautiful sunny day. The temperature was climbing rapidly in the morning. The temperature started at 49 degrees and increased to 59 degrees. Barometric pressure was falling. The ground was quite muddy. Winds were from the Southeast at 3 to 8 mph.

We parked at the clubhouse. We hacked out the driveway and turned North on Hwy HH. We hacked down HH a ways and then turned in to the property. Eleanor was trying to draw into the wind. We jumped a coop into the horse pasture and Eleanor drew along the woods on the ridge above the horse pasture while we walked in the bottom. Eleanor had problems with the batteries on her radio and stopped at the barn to change them. We then jumped the post and rail back toward the driveway and crossed the creek back onto the drive. She then drew the woods along the south side of the driveway. She then thought she heard hounds near the pig farm. We cantered over toward the pig farm but then could hear nothing. She then drew the ridge along the way toward the dark house while we walked in the field below. It was really neat to see her and the hounds work the ridge. The only excitement we had was when the hounds jumped a rabbit in a brush pile.

After hunting we had a brunch in the new clubhouse. Geri Washhausen put together a wonderful lunch with pork luau sandwiches, salad and roasted asparagus. She had a birthday cake for Mary too.
