I actually believe the BW gives him an even more regal look somehow. Those eyes are simply incredible.

COMPARED TO THE TIGER, I BELIEVE THIS ONE HAS A CHANCE OF BEING TOO DARK. THE TIGER HAS NICER, BRIGHTER HIGHLIGHTS TO GRAB THE EYE, AND ABSORB ATTENTION AND MY EYES EASE AWAY FROM THOSE AREAS NICELY TO THE REST OF THE IMAGE. THIS SEEMS A LITTLE BIT TOO MUTED. THIS IS ON MY SCREEN THOUGH OF COURSE, THE PRINT MAY COME OUT FINE. ITS JUST A TINY BIT OF A STRAIN TO 'SEE' THIS ONE.
there would be more of an arguement for this being to dark - but I think it is lovely - if you had this printed as a traditional print,I would guess it would glow (there are labs that can do black and white traditional using a digital negative (as opposed to laser printing)...
