Paddling on the Hillsborough River between Sargent's Park and Morris Bridge Road.

They have turned the Southwest Florida Water Management District lands into Wilderness Park -- the area where I came of age paddling, riding my horse and getting into mischief. The alligators have made an incredible comeback in the 40 years since I got my first canoe.

The river was about 20 feet wide and I made several passes by this guy with the telephoto.
