Dear Mr. Fraser: I came to the United States in my teens, about a hundred years ago. My home town is Selkirk but many happy days were spent in the Queen of a' the Borders. That included rugby (the Youth Club) and dancing (the Town Hall.) We were of the Reilly clan in Hawick. The late great J. Reilly we called Uncle but he was really a cousin of my father. My mother's side, the Cockburns, gave me Bedrule, Spittal Tower, Bonchester and, always, Ruberslaw. This magic hill will be a part of my dream life until they put me in a box. Even then, I hope to have it as a backdrop to my Heavenly home. Then there is your addres, 2 The Sandbed. Time was you could catch the bus for Selkirk just farther out the road, towards the High School. Ah, well. An old man blethers. By the way, what happened to that building that acts like a dead end to the High Street? The opposite end to The Horse. That would have made a great small hotel or an exotic residence. Well, you have a business to run. This note was kicked off by a Christmas card of yours
